March 2019 Partner of the Month: LTC Health Solutions, Nephron Pharmaceuticals, & Prisma Health
The Columbia Chamber is proud to name LTC Health Solutions, Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation, and Prisma Health as March’s Partners of the Month for their participation in the inaugural year of Midlands Youth Apprenticeship Program (MYA).
These three Partners engaged in the MYA program in order to create a talent pipeline for their respective businesses. The businesses have hired and are training eight Richland School District One high school apprentices this semester. Midlands Technical College and Apprenticeship Carolina are key Partners in this program. The high school students are able to take normal high school classes and college classes through dual enrollment while also working at the participating businesses.
By participating in the pilot year of MYA, LTC Health Solutions, Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation, and Prisma Health are creating workers who are ready on Day One to work in the specialized positions that their company requires. By starting now, they are filling future workforce needs and preparing for the next generation.
The Chamber is thankful for these businesses partnership and dedication to shaping the Midlands’ future workforce and is excited to see how this program will grow.
