Join the LCAA program for another Power Session on May 12. This time we’ll be focusing on meaningful board service with our guest speaker, Mary Dell Hayes, founder of StopGap Solutions. The relationship between a nonprofit executive director and the board of directors can be complicated. Thoughtful and intentional board service can prevent conflict while reducing liability for the board member and organization. Attend this session to ensure you are prepared for board service that is personally meaningful and provides value to the organization.
More About Mary:
Mary Dell Hayes is a dot-connector skilled at identifying unexpected connections and opportunities. Extensive experience in volunteer management, community outreach, executive leadership, board engagement, and development make her the perfect fit to provide support for nonprofit organizations during times of transition or growth. Her adaptable style and infectious enthusiasm builds teams to develop and achieve strategic outcomes. Mary Dell has more than 15 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations and is the Principal Consultant at StopGap Solutions where she provides project management, interim leadership, and development support for nonprofit organizations. Recent projects include leading the statewide census engagement collaborative through SC Counts, serving as Interim Executive Director for the Barnwell County United Way, and assisting the Fairfield County Council on Aging with hiring and training their first development staff member.
