The Columbia Impact Awards strive to spotlight the dedication of outstanding organizations and individuals that make the Columbia region a vibrant place to visit, live, and do business. The Columbia Impact Awards will kick off during the March Breakfast Briefing at 7:30AM and will include a hot breakfast and in-person recognition of award recipients. The Chamber will continue to celebrate each award recipient post-event with an online social media campaign recognizing their accomplishments.
The Columbia Chamber’s Impact Awards recognizes dedication to excellence in the following categories:
The Cathy Novinger Trailblazer Award honors an individual who has demonstrated extraordinary leadership within their organization and community. This individual should be known as an innovator, dedicated Chamber Partner, visionary, and advocate for the Midlands region.
The Small Business of the Year Award recognizes a Chamber Partner who has shown great growth, significant achievements, or realized economic and cultural growth that benefits the Midlands business community.
The Diversity & Inclusion Award celebrates a Chamber Partner that goes above and beyond to implement and advocate for an inclusive and diverse work environment.
The Hospitality Industry Award recognizes exceptional Chamber Partners of Columbia’s hospitality industry – from restaurants and tourist attractions, to transportation companies, hotels and event facilities. The selected business or company should display a contribution to making Columbia a world-class place to live, work, and visit.
The Workforce Development Award honors Chamber Partners that are working to create innovative strategies in an effort to retain a dynamic, resilient, and highly skilled workforce equipped for meeting current industry needs within the greater Midlands region.
Finally, the Golden Nail Award is given to a business or property owner for exemplary contributions to the physical character of the greater Midlands region through cosmetic or commercial means during the previous calendar year.

The Columbia Chamber’s Breakfast Briefing exists to provide a place where Columbia Chamber Partners can discuss and address local, regional, and federal issues facing the business community. Briefings are currently being held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 AM. Briefings include a hot breakfast and networking. Partners $15 and Potential Partners $25.Back to all Events
