BREAKING NEWS: Updated Treasury Guidance
On the evening of May 4, 2020, the U.S. Treasury updated its FAQs regarding the Coronavirus Relief Fund. Below are a few highlights:
- Wanted to flag that a Fund payment recipient (ex. county) is not required to transfer funds to smaller cities within the county’s borders
- Gives states discretion in using funds to assist small businesses.
- Recipients can also use for payroll for those dedicated to public health response ex. These classes of employees include public safety, public health, health care, human services, and similar employees whose services are substantially dedicated to mitigating or responding to the COVID-19 public health emergency.
