South Carolina is recognized nationally as a golfing destination. Columbia
offers many local golf courses private country clubs and open courses to
the public and Fort Jackson. Several of the courses have been played by
golf celebrities. Columbia is home to the several local tournaments and
amateur PGA tournaments.
