The

The Colonial Center is the
largest arena in the state of South Carolina with 18,000 seats,
and the
tenth largest on-campus basketball facility in the nation. Located on
the beautiful University of South Carolina campus, this one-of-a-kind
facility features 41 suites, four Entertainment Suites, and the Frank
McGuire Club, a full-service hospitality room that will have a capacity of
30. The state-of-the-art facility also features plush seating, a
technologically advanced sound system, a four-sided video scoreboard, and a
one-of-a-kind selection of unique concession foods that will delight fans of
all ages.
Columbia Blowfish -

We welcome the Columbia Blowfish, a member of the Coastal Plain League,
to South Carolina's capitol city. The team, comprised of Southeastern
college baseball players, coaches and mascot, Blowie, began their first
season of baseball in 2006. In the premiere year, the Blowfish led the
Coastal Plain League in attendance, drawing in over 46,000 fans.
The games are played during the summer season in the Capitol City Stadium,
sometimes referred to as "The Cap".
Columbia
Inferno - (803) 256-PUCK
The Columbia Inferno is a member of
the Southeast Division of the East Coast Hockey League. The team, coaches
and mascot, Blaze (a 20 lbs. Dalmatian), began their first
season of hockey
in 2001. Games are played in the Carolina Coliseum. Occasionally, after the
excitement of the game, families are invited into the ice skating arena to
skate with the players.
Williams-Brice
Stadium
Home of the University of South
Carolina Gamecocks, this football stadium seats 82,500 people. Among the top
10 largest stadiums in the country, Williams-Brice is also used for large
concerts and filming of major motion pictures.
Sarge Frye
Field
Home of the Carolina Gamecocks
baseball team, this stadium currently seats 5,000 people. The USC baseball
team has been among the best in the nation over the past few years and
attending games has become a tradition for not only Columbia residents but
for South
Carolina residents as well. Attending the games is an
enjoyable experience for the whole family.
