of the State South Carolina, welcome to the Columbia area and the Palmetto
State. Whether you are just visiting or have chosen to make South Carolina

central location, business-friendly environment, and variety of cultural and
recreational opportunities, the Columbia area is a great place to live, work and
play. While local attractions like Riverbanks Zoo and Congaree National
Park, and the traveling conveniences of three major interstates and the Columbia
Metropolitan Airport give Columbia big city appeal, visitors and residents still
enjoy the warm hospitality and Southern charm that make the Capitol city unique.
