and strong relationship between our armed forces at Fort Jackson and

Tournament
Come enjoy a relaxing day of golf while
networking with clients, friends and sponsors. The chamber’s golf tournament is a captain’s choice format
with approximately 400 golfers during a two-day tournament. |

Affairs
The Chamber represents almost 3,000 member businesses and over 5,000
members. We can be a strong and influential voice in the political
process. Our strength is not just in our numbers, but also in our
ability to build a sophisticated grassroots-lobbying program that

Technology Council
The
Columbia Information Technology Council is an assemblage of technology
leaders promoting Columbia as a desirable location for IT
companies. Drawing upon their combined knowledge and experience,
the ITC identifies, cultivates and promotes those characteristics that
IT businesses require for efficient and successful operations.
Members endeavor to help develop a well-educated and dynamic
workforce, provide guidance based on their professional expertise, and
advance the amenities offered by the Greater Columbia area. |

The Leadership Columbia Committee (LCC) is
comprised of graduates of the Leadership Columbia program. The Committee
is responsible for the design and implementation of the programs,
selecting participants, as well as establishing governing policies. |

Focused on achieving the priorities of its 250
members, the Manufacturers Council provides a unified voice for area
manufacturers. |

Appreciation Receptions
The Greater Columbia Chamber holds these bimonthly informal meetings to
give new members a chance to meet Chamber staff, ask questions and

Affairs Committee
The Military Affairs Committee works to promote,
enhance and strengthen the relationships between our community and the
military. The reception welcomes Soldier Support Institute, Chaplain
School and Polygraph School students and their families to the Columbia
community. |

This
is a new committee working to establish an aggressive
marketing/communication campaign to attract military retirees to this
region. |
Northeast
Programs
The Northeast area has received their own area council of the Greater
Columbia Chamber of Commerce due to the rapid growth of business
there. Until now
businesses didn’t have a central voice to address challenges unique
to this still developing area. The
new council will help give Northeast businesses the support they need
to grow. |

Recognition Breakfast

importance of educators to our community is immeasurable. For this reason, the Chamber, in partnership with the Greater
Columbia Community Relations Council, is proud to host an annual
breakfast where Teachers of the Year for each of the regional school
districts are recognized. |
Total Resource Campaign
Volunteers from member companies can earn
exciting rewards while developing new resources for the Chamber in the
Total Resource Campaign, conducted August through November each year.
