2008 Ambassador
of the Year – Bill Boyd, Haynsworth Sinkler
Boyd
William C. “Bill” Boyd has been named the
Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce’s 2008 Ambassador of
the Year. The Ambassador is someone who successfully
promotes the Riverbanks Region. Bill has a proven track
record of improving our area. He has been a progressive &
proactive leader for the homelessness issue. Bill has
served and shown leadership on many committees such as the
Midlands Economic Development Group & the Waterfront
Steering Team. Finally he has been a great representative
for the region by serving on the City of Columbia’s
Restructuring Commission.
The Ambassador of the
Year Breakfast is an annual event sponsored by the Greater Columbia
Chamber of Commerce that recognizes an individual of outstanding
character, who has served and promoted the region successfully.
