In this day and time, a geographic information system (GIS) allows a company to realize the benefits of being able to visualize resources which ultimately helps us to cooperatively view, understand, question and analyze data that until now has not been possible.  This presentation will help IT understand what is GIS and how our peers are currently implementing this system to stay on top of the business.

Shani Hall

Shani Hall is Manager of the Information Platform at Edens & Avant.  She is a graduated from Georgia Tech with a Masters Degree in Computer Science and from Clark Atlanta University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Shani lives in Columbia, SC and has been with Edens & Avant for 3 years.

 

David Beitz

David Beitz is Director of GIS at Edens & Avant.  He graduated from USC with a Bachelor of Science focusing on Geography.  David lives in Columbia, SC and has been with Edens & Avant for 11 years.

William “Sonny” Beech

As the National Sales Manager for GISi, Sonny is responsible for all facets of sales and marketing for the company.  His responsibilities include developing new markets, devising and implementing sales strategies, advertising and promotions.

 

Sonny has been in the GIS industry for two decades, starting his career as a GIS analyst and programmer for several municipalities. His career then changed to the private sector where he worked for an environmental remediation firm before coming to GISi in 1995.  In 2002 Sonny was hired by ESRI and moved to Atlanta, he then returned to Birmingham and his current position at GISi in 2009.
