County Solid Waste Division and
Keep the Midlands Beautiful to offer
several ways you can recycle this
holiday season so you can “Be Green”
while you “Save Green” at our after
holiday sale!
Christmas Tree
Collection, December 26 – January 11
Drop off your
Christmas tree in the indicated
collection site located in the
Columbia Place parking lot behind
Steve & Barry’s, across from Tire
Kingdom. Please make sure to remove
all ornaments and lights before you
drop off your tree. All of the
Christmas trees collected will be
taken to Keep the Midlands
Beautiful’s Annual Grinding of the
Greens.
E-cycling, December
26 – January 4
Did you get a new
electronics for Christmas? Bring
your old computers, printers and fax
machines to the indicated are inside
the mall entrance between Sears &
Dillard’s during mall hours.
Televisions will not be accepted.
Cell Phone Recycling,
December 26 – January 4
Columbia Place will
be collecting all cell phones
(working and non-working) at
Customer Service, located on the
lower level near Center Court, for
recycling.
Wrapping Paper & Gift
Box Recycling, December 26 – January
4
Bring your wrapping
paper and gift boxes from those
holiday gifts to Columbia Place’s
Customer Service for recycling.
Foil-type/shiny wrapping paper can
not be accepted. All bows must be
removed but the wrapping paper and
gift boxes can still have tape on
them.
Free Tote Bag at
Customer Service, December 26 (while
supplies last!)
Be eco-friendly and
use a tote bag for your shopping
instead of putting your items in
plastic bags. Columbia Place will
distribute a free tote bag made from
recycled materials at Customer
Service on Friday, December 26th to
the first 500 customers. One per
customer, while supplies last.
